Only In Death by Dan Abnett

February 21, 2008

OK, lets start simple and work my way up. This is a fine addition to the Gaunts Ghosts series. Fast Paced, Well written, Good characters. It almost pains me to find a flaw with the story. My only criticism is that I felt I had been here before. Perhaps it’s due to the fact that I watch trashy B list horrors, but I kept thinking this feels like an amalgam of the trench and the bunker. While that is no bad thing as I felt both were good films. Dan Abnett normally leaves me feeling both raw and shaking. All I can say is this is a slight blip on an otherwise flawless series and I cannot wait for the next Horus Heresy book that is being written by Mr Abnett or for the next installment of the Ghosts series.
